How do I apply for a patta transfer through e-Sevai?

You can apply for a Patta transfer online or at any government e-Sevai center. For non-subdivision cases, the standard government fee is ₹60. If subdivision (survey demarcation) is required, inspection charges apply.

Start online (fastest):

  • Visit the Tamil Nadu Revenue e-Services portal (eservices.tn.gov.in).
  • Select 'Apply for Patta Transfer' and log in with your mobile number / OTP.
  • Enter district, taluk, village, survey number, and sub-division details.
  • Upload required documents, pay the government fee, and download the application acknowledgement receipt.

Required documents:

  • Registered Sale Deed or Title Deed proving ownership.
  • Copy of existing Patta or Patta number.
  • Encumbrance Certificate (EC) for the property.
  • Applicant's Aadhaar card and Smart Ration card copy.

If you cannot apply online:

  • Visit your nearest government e-Sevai center (TNeGA) with original documents. Staff will scan and submit your application to the Taluk Tahsildar.
