Start online (fastest):
- For Chennai Metropolitan Area: Check approved plans at cmdachennai.gov.in.
- For all other parts of Tamil Nadu: Check approvals at tcp.tn.gov.in (Directorate of Town and Country Planning).
- Enter the Layout Approval Number / Planning Permission (PP) Number, Village, and Survey Number.
- Compare the sanctioned layout map with the actual plot dimensions, Open Space Reservation (OSR), and road widths.
Caution:
- Registering unapproved sub-divided plots is legally prohibited under Section 22A of the Registration Act. Unapproved layouts cannot secure building permits or utility connections.
