The State Government provides dedicated free power units bi-monthly to protect traditional handloom and powerloom weavers from production cost inflation.
Free power limits:
- Handloom weavers: Up to 300 units free power bi-monthly.
- Powerloom weavers: Up to 1,000 units free power bi-monthly.
Eligibility & conditions:
- Service connection registered under Dedicated Tariff 3A(1) or 3A(2).
- Active membership in a registered Handloom / Powerloom Weavers Cooperative Society.
- Aadhaar linked with TANGEDCO consumer connection and verified by the Assistant Director of Handlooms.
